The leaves are used in cooking, and the dried herb is often more flavorful than if it were fresh. Known to enhance Italian dishes. Also an accent in vegetable, egg and meat dishes. Very aromatic.
Pick the leaves as needed. Flavor is best if picked before flowering. Use fresh, dried or frozen.
